History

First appeared in Divine Husbandman's Classic of the Materia Medica.

Introduction
Obtained Bombyx mori L. larvae, the dried body of the silkworm larva that has died from white muscardine disease.
Traditional Usage
Xiongcane, a salty, acrid medicine that is neutral in nature, enters the liver, lung and stomach meridians. It is useful for tonifying kidney yang, aiding recuperation, expelling wind heat and extinguishing wind.
